This Is Church!!

We hosted families from a local shelter tonight. Had transportation to pick & drop them off, reserved seating to see our Christmas presentation, "Home For The Holidays" and a dinner afterwards. The CT Pastors, Staff, and cast of the Christmas production greeted, sat, and serve families tonight.

It's a great feeling when you can make an "big" impact on families 1 on 1 by doing the "little" things that matter.

Celebrating Mom's Birthday!

This past Sunday was my mother's birthday. First, I had to be at our weekend services but ran home right after. We took her to Red Door Spa in Westbury then had dinner in Houston's at the Roosevelt Field Mall. I wouldn't recommend it. Yeah, the food was good and the place is quiet and intimate but the menu is small. Really, only 9 main meals to choose from. But overall it was fun.

This Friday Makes 12 Years!!

The night was incredible. God moved and touch all of us. Everyone was on their game. You just had to be there...a night to remember. Here are some photos:

True Ministry...

You can have the best Hip-Hop / Rock concerts and fuzzy warm-feeling worship experiences week in and week out. But the most impact you can have in someone is:

-Discipleship (Digging the Scriptures / 1 on 1 relationship)

Yeah, I'm all for people coming to Christ, being baptized, becoming members, and getting plugged in. But if you don't apply this important ingredient, you are not completly fulfilling the vision God gave you.

If you are a leader, don't just pray with a young person and leave them hanging, exchange numbers (same sex please!), take them out to dinner and do life. Call them, dig the scriptures, and talk life & ministry.

If you are a young person, there are older men and women of the faith available to you. Open yourself and talk advangtage. Trust me, it will mean the world to you. Also, live as an example of Christ. Make the people you around say, "there is something special about you". Then you too can apply this principle to the people.

1 Year Of SNL!!

It was tonight (last year), Christ Tabernacle started a Saturday night service called "Saturday Night Life". We needed to add another service because our 3 Sunday Services (9am.11am.1pm) were filled to capacity. The Leadership was uncertain of how this would go but took a chance and it's been success.

Hundreds of people come out every Saturday night. Many continue to come to Christ. The music is contemporary, the dress is casual, and atmosphere is more intimate and relax. The worship is phenomenal and everything is just perfect. After the service, there is refreshments and a time to fellowship which doesn't happen on a Sunday because of more services in shorter time.

Anyway, I love it and don't miss a service!! I highly recommended people to come it out. You'll feel the same...
